There are several fine reataurants in Tournus, some with Michelin stars. Le Rempart doesn't have a Michelin, but in some respects it should. We visited it a Sunday lunchtime, so it was quite busy, but strangely not too noisy. We took the lunchtime menu which turned out to be an excellent choice and excellent value. Perhaps the best we had in our short stay in Tournus. Staff were kind and helpful. Wines fine. The tables were small and we were 4. Nevertheless a fine experience a good way to start our holiday in the Chardonnay region. Clean toilets and free car park opposite.

A good hotel, with closed parking garage for our cars. Large air-conditioned rooms. The suite was great and we could even stay here with 3 adults. Very close to the motorway heading north Minus point in the morning of breakfast...

Ok hotel, it seems that part of the hotel is renovated and another part not. I had a room in the old part, this could be better for the price we paid. Breakfast and dinner were good.

Easy hotel in a casual French town. The bar staff was friendly and accommodating. Dinner at the high end restaurant was excellent.

We had dinner at the brasserie, in the cloister. The food was alright. Two orders were messed up- one was outright wrong and the other was duck well done instead of rare. For the price (20-30 for the menu), it wasn’t that good and the portions were quite small. The service was very slow and unfriendly- the table next to us had to yell for someone to come. The setting seemed very artificial as well. The cloister seems fake and it’s decorated in poor taste with many plastic plants.
